We build our courses with three goals in mind; quality of material covered, engagement of the teacher, and interaction among students. The courses consist of lessons developed by the instructor, readings to supplement your knowledge and address your particular situation, and activities to reinforce understanding and generate discussion about the challenges we face in our institutions.
Courses are led by an instructor who will guide you through the topic. They will offer feedback on your work and are available to answer your questions. In addition to sharing your situation and questions with the instructor, you will also have the opportunity to interact with other students who may have similar or very different backgrounds to your own. While participating in our courses you will develop a network of museum professionals.
Most of our courses run 4 weeks from the start date. In most courses all you will need to access and participate in the course is a computer with internet access, a browser such as Firefox, and the free Acrobat Reader. Sometimes you may want to use a spreadsheet or word processing software. Those who successfully complete the course material and demonstrate proficiency in the topic will receive a Digital Badge to represent your achievement.
